Known as “The Hawaii of Lansing,” The Boom Boom Room operated from the 50s - 80s in Lansing Michigan and was adjacent to Ziegler’s Charcoal House restaurant. The Boom Boom Room was a beauty, with a glass-top outrigger bar, bright blue barstools and booths, palm trees, a $3.00 Polynesian Luau, entertainment and their signature cocktail was the “Flaming Orgy.” The drink served 6, came in a volcano themed bowl and served with a flaming Bacardi 151 center. Regulars fondly remember that after one Flaming Orgy, falling off bar stools was commonplace.
