Driftwood Room - Los Angeles, CA

The Driftwood Room was a "Pre-Tiki" bar located in the Hotel Lankershim at Seventh and Broadway in downtown LA.  The Driftwood Room included their own "Special Rum Drinks" included the Zombie, Tradewind & Driftwood, all drinks were $1 and included a limit of 2 per person. The menu also stated that the ingredients of the Driftwood Special Rum Drinks would not be disclosed.

The Hotel Lankershim opened in 1905 as an imitation of the Hotel St. Francis in San Francisco--far superior to any other hotels in L.A. at the time. The 9 story hotel was known to have all the modern conveniences and devices for the comfort and safety of their patrons, including a free "automobile bus" to and from the Los Angeles train station.
